During this Symposion, the International Association of History and Civilization of Vine and Wine intends:
a) To bring together the largest possible number of historians of viticulture/viniculture in order to favour
personal acquaitance and direct exchange of ideas and information.
b) To make a critical review of research on history of viti/viniculture in producing and consuming countries.
c) To share current lines of reseaches on this subject.
The International Association of History of Vine And Wine would like to thanks to the University of Cádiz for having framed this Symposion in the IIIrd Spring Meeting at El Puerto de Santa María; to the City Council of El Puerto de Santa María fort its finantial support; to the O.I.V. its official acknowledgement; to the wineries and to the Consejo Regulador de la Denominaciones de Origen Jerez-Xérès-Sherry y Manzanilla-Sanlúcar de Barrameda, their collaboration; and to the participiants for their
